ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

Environmental Standards

At Bridges, we recognise that the way we plan, manage and deliver our work can have a direct impact on the environment around us. Effective environmental management starts before work begins, through clear planning, suitable controls, competent people and a shared commitment to preventing harm.

Our Environmental Essential Standards set out the minimum requirements and practical controls that help our teams and delivery partners manage environmental risks consistently. ESS01, ESS02 and ESS03 provide guidance on key areas that support responsible working, including identifying environmental hazards, planning work effectively, applying appropriate controls, preventing pollution, managing resources, and responding properly if conditions change.

These standards are intended to be used during planning, briefing, supervision and assurance activities to help ensure that environmental considerations are built into day-to-day decision making. They support compliance with legal and company requirements, protect local communities and ecosystems, and help us reduce our environmental footprint across the work we deliver.

Please download and refer to the relevant Environmental Essential Standard below before undertaking work within its scope.
